I use a wooden pin brush by Chris Christensen, but Kristin (Maximo) sells one by #1 All Systems that is excellent, and it's not as costly as the Chris Christensen. She is very knowledgeable and wonderful to work with.

I haven't ordered one yet, but the Madan brushes are also supposed to be great. YT member Jenny (Mimimomo) is also great to work with, and her prices on the brushes and combs are excellent. I would recommend the moustache comb. I use the Chris Christensen face/leg comb (just like the Madan moustache comb but the price on the Madan is much better), and I love it. I am going to order the moustache comb so use as an extra comb, a larger Madan comb, and one of the pin brushes. Jenny offers a 10% discount to YT members.

I use a variety of brushes and combs, and it really makes a difference on protecting the coat. These brushes and combs are excellent for the hair, and if used properly, they shouldn't damage the coat. I think having a good pin and a wooden pin brush will help you a lot, and the Madan or Chris Christensen combs are also excellent.
