 Harness Your Dogs In a Weather Emergency
I live in South Florida and spent a good portion of my day on Sunday taking shelter with my dogs in the bathroom due to several tornado warnings. I put blankets on the floor and a Thundershirt on Cooper. The 3 of us sat closely together until the warnings were lifted. We were all scared.
I realized that I did not put harnesses and leashes on my dogs. What if by a slight chance we were separated? I cannot even imagine the devastation of losing my 2 boys.
This is just a reminder to harness and leash your dogs should you need to take cover in any kind of emergency. It may seem obvious but with the fear of the impending tornado the thought never even entered my mind. |
