Do you mean a brush that your dog likes to lick?

Use a pin brush that does not have balls at the tips. The balls can damage hair and make brushing more difficult.

In addition to a brush, buy a good comb. Brushing alone is not enough. A small comb is also perfect for face and legs.

I don't over-brush my boys' full coats because brushing a dirty coat can damage it (and they get "dirty" quickly). I just stay on top of anything that looks like a knot is forming and I make the guys look presentable.
