I was told to give mine half of their normal meal that night, and if that was well tolerated, to feed normally the next day. She might like some plain lowfat yogurt, that seems to soothe the tummy. I bet she will surprise you and the next day, act like nothing ever happened That's what both of mine did, they were out of it and mopey that night but the next day I had to use the ex-pen to keep the wildness down.

Definitely get pain meds. Some vets don't give them, but I can't imagine having my tummy cut open and then no pain meds I think that they believe if the dog feels some pain, that they'll be more likely to take it easy, but I think it's kind of cruel.

I'll be thinking of your little Ahi, and you, tomorrow Everyone here will "hold your hand" throughout the day, don't worry!!!
Thank you. Will be adding pain meds on my list. I hope and pray she will be acting like nothing happened. I'm sure i'll be crying when I hand her off. lol
