Yes, I agree, people should be able to allow their pets to be in a fenced yard, and feel confident the dog is safe. However, in todays world, A Yorkie is a highly desesirable dog. Some people will try anything to get their hands on this type of breed. I had Suzi out with me on the front patio, leashed, tagged, microchipped and all, and a neighbor told me they would take her in a heartbeat if I did not want her anymore NO, she is our baby, and never going anywhere to any other home. Our shihh tzu is beautiful, sweet and has a mellow personality, a great lap dog, yet everytime the focus is on our yorkie they are just too high in demand, so we all have to be exceedingly cautious at all times where our yorkie's are and not to ever leave them unsupervised.
