The groomer is doing something that is causing a great deal of distress to your dog. I would stay and watch and talk to the groomer about this behavior. If you cannot work things out with the groomer then find another one that you an trust. It is not normal for a dog to react this way to proper grooming. You know the problem starts there so address it.
