We live in an area where ignorant neighbors let their dogs run loose. Two of our 6 go out to potty, the others use peeped pads. When the two are out,usually on a double leash, my eyes are scanning for other dogs constantly.
I seem to have made some of my dogs into what my Mom called "hot house plants". They are only out if carried. Overly protective? Very possible but I am just not going to take the chance of them getting attacked.
Thank God your baby was not seriously injured.
