Ear hair should be plucked - whether you or the groomer does it. If you do the plucking yourself, a bit of ear powder (talcum powder works) will help the tweezers grip the hair better. Hair in the ear canal traps moisture which frequently causes ear infections. After bathing, swimming, etc., be sure to thoroughly dry the ears.
