My little baby goes nuts in the car. I took her to the vet yesterday and the ride there was murder. If I slow down she barks, turn on the blinker she barks. She wines the entire time and goes nuts! She use to be so good in the car. I have tried just letting her sit in the front seat, putting her in a carrier and also just holding her, she still flips out. I can't take her anywhere anymore and I dread it when I have to. When we had to evacuate for Katrina I had to give her tranqulizers and she still flipped out the whole 10 hour drive. By the time we got to the hotel she was so wiped out that she slept for the longest time. She is on "puppy prozac" and has been for a year now, you think that would help during car rides, but it does not! She seems to be scared that I am going to leave her in the car by herself (I never have). Any advice or stories to share would be helpful.
