I agree with Maximo on all points and I would add just one more: Less is more, and if you are using a lot of products on his coat, it is a good idea to use a clarifying shampoo every couple months ( more or less as needed, according to your pups hair type) to get rid of the build up that tends to "choke" the coat, so to speak.
