I KNOW what you are going through. I lost my little Alice on 6/13/2012 and am still feeling the hole she left in my life. There is really no comfort except in knowing you took care of her and gave her a loving home and she will be waiting for you in the next life. All you can do is protect them while they are entrusted to you and let them go in love when their time is up. There are better days ahead. While it's new and so raw, it seems life is just pain and sorrow. It is inevitable that you will second guess your actions and think if only you'd have done something different... Just know you did all you could and you loved her thoroughly. I wish I knew words to make it better. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
