You are right about the baby proofing. I "tested" Curri for a while after I gave them more freedom. She stays away from cables and wires but likes leaves and paper of any kind. I bought several chews for her and she leaves everything else alone. Sugar would leave a bag of groceries alone if I placed them on the floor while carrying in the others ~ not Curri

I think 5 months is too young (and only having her a week is too soon) for more freedom. Leave well enough alone
