I used a spare room that we are rarely in when I trained my guys, and still use it for reinforcing training (mine are 4, 5 and 6 years old and we still do training sessions for refreshers, they get excited for these )
When you tried the clicker, were you using it the way it is explained with the clicker method? Click and treat? The timing is very important when using the clicker, as it associates the act (command) with the treat (reward)
