Well, the doctor said that her tear duct just may not be functioning or absent. 6 months ago they did a tear check and she produced some tears from that eye. Those of you familiar with dry eyes know the procedure for checking for tears. The little strip showed 6 or 7 which in itself isn't good but it's a little bit.
Yesterday, she didn't produce any tears in that eye
She is on Pilocarpine, Tacrolimus (sp?) and Genteal Gel.
She gets these twice a day.
I believe the surgery is called Parotid transposition.
I may have to research it.
I really don't know what I am going to do.
I do know that if she wasn't comfortable, I would surely do something.
