I use GenTeal Eye Drops for me...they seem to last longer than any I have used. I have one of those pups that had parvo years ago...the virus caused the nerve that has something to do with stimulating tear production, to quit working. We tried Cyclosporin (active ingredient in Restasis) but it did not work, so I have to do his eye care daily....I use an insert that is the size of a grain of rice.....Lacrisert....that goes into the space between the lower lid and eye ball...it is a drug that is used in cancer patients....I had seen it used in the hospital and got a script from the cancer doc for my other little Yorkie back in 1980...it lasts 24 hours...slowly dissolves over a 24 hour period, and works hreat! I got this script from my vet after the Cyclosporin failed to trigger the nerve to work again!
