Default Not good news for Kayla

I changed vets and took Kayla to the vet we bought Lexi from. He shows and raises schnauzers and seems to be a great vet. I just didn't think my vet of 19yrs. was taking Kayla's collasphed trachea serious enough. So, the new vet took x-rays and used like a laser thingie on her and they put her on a ice pad while we were there. Her breathing was terrible. He gave her meds and told me to give her filtered water to drink. Keep her cool (which we do) use humidlfer (which we do) no excerise and little play. Her x-rays showed the CT to be severe. He said it could be made better but not curiable. We will do anything for our babies health and well being. He suggested wearing a madellion around her neck to detox and he put her on Temaril P tablets, Terbutaine (only during a episode) Hydrocodone Syrup (same). She will take the Temaril from now on. Please remember my baby in your prayers. We love her so much and don't want to lose another one, espically at such a young age. Well, at any age as far as that goes, but, we will take care of her the very best we can. I hate CT, its a horrible, horrible disease and I hate seeing her suffer from it. They seem so loving and caring at this vet's office. I had only been home about 2hrs. when they called to see how she was doing. Thanks for caring too, everyone, and just please pray for her. She is my little girl.
