Lynn, what does it mean when her lipase is over 4000, what is the illness?
Sending prayers for sweet Summer...bless her little heart. |
Amylase and Lipase are typically elevated with pancreatitis. The only real way to know is to do a CPL test but honestly I don't bother asking for them to send those out. My vet does not have the snap one which can tell you right away. The other one does not come back for a few days...and the pups are usually well by then anyway. Treatment is the same...fluids and meds for the stomach discomfort.
Right now there is something going on with pups in this area....my vet is off today and her partner told me they are getting a lot in with these symptoms.
Funny...a friend of mine just called me and said all of her pups are sick with stomach issues.
