I have one who gets finicky and sometimes she decides she must be hand fed. It typically lasts maybe a week.

I wouldn't feed her pork chops.

I give mine cottage cheese mixed with eggs, boiled chicken, for a couple of days she still eats the whelping pudding (because she loves it) and Merrick makes a canned food named Wingaling. It contains actual chicken wings and mine loves this. A side benefit is the calcuim contained in the bones.

I also feed her 5-6 meals a day. Nursing takes a lot of moms...she needs those calories.
