Cause for worry????????? Skittles nipped at my youngest daughter this morning when my daughter bent down to love on her. My youngest is 3.5 and not your typical 3.5 yr old. She has a 7 yr old sister, who has been like a mother hen to her. I feel my 3.5 yr old has better manners and knows more than most(or those who dont have older siblings) becuase of her older sister(she teaches her words, letters numbers, colors , shapes etc...you get the pt) and the fact that I am very strict and hard on my girls. We have had Skittles since she was 12wks old. My girls have been taught how to hold her and not mess with her when she has a bone. BTW, she did not have a bone when she nipped her, she was just laying in the chair next to Jisele. Since we've had Gunner, Skittles has nipped at Jisele a few times. Could he be the cause? Her and Gunner do play but then there are times when she has had enough and I let her have run of the rest of the house and keep Gunner pinned up in the 2 rooms(kitchen and family...where I spend most of my time). I just don't know what to make of this behavior. Also when Skittles is in bed with my oldest she will growl and show me her teeth when I go to wake my oldest. Even tho I am talking calmly to her and trying to coax her off the bed. Is that just natural since she is laying in bed with my oldest and may be "protecting" her from me...even tho she knows me. Does that make sense at all!? Oh well, I was just looking for some opinions. |
