It was just brought to my attention that WMATA changed their policies.... of course they didn't bother announcing it or anything. This has been in effect since at least June, 2011. Riley is going to be Soooo Excited when I tell him!! LOL

Can I bring my dog on Metrorail and Metrobus?

Service animals that assist people with disabilities are the only animals permitted to ride unconfined on Metrorail and Metrobus. However, a pet may be transported on Metrorail and Metrobus, provided it is carried aboard in a secure container from which it cannot escape.
