Those who are not interested in adopting a rescue should not be criticized for admitting that they can't/don't want to, that is exactly what a rescue doesn't want in an owner.
Getting a puppy from a responsible, ethical good breeder is also commendable, I wish I had....all I can do now is educate myself and advocate for the pups...and take care of both of my special needs girls! |
now this is a good post, and it contains just about the same message as the one Kazzy posted so I am still perplexed by you asking her to reconsider her post. BTW it is also exactly the way I feel. I applaud those that rescue, I am appalled by those that abuse, neglect, abandon and breed recklessly. But as a pet owner I should be able to decide if I buy a puppy or adopt a rescue. It is sad that the poster mad at mills or whatever her name is is fighting for a good cause but her extreme views and hardline approach will alienate her from potential supporters like myself
