I am so sad......I've kept Betty Boop in a long coat all over. It has always been so pretty and one-length. The hair on the top of her back is broken off, as if she has worn her choke-free harness 24/7, which she hasn't. It is about 2 inches now. The hair on her legs is totally broken off and sticks out.
She no longer has a topknot or long facial hair at all.
Her hair looks jaggedy and like a bad hair cut. This all happened since Easter. I can't post a pic because I'm on vacation and don't have access to post a pic.
I thought, at first, it could be fleas, although she has not had but maybe one or two in the last couple of months. We totally have that under control at the house and in the yard now. She was scratching and my thinking is that she could have broken her hair by scratching. But, she has had fleas in the past and has not broken her hair by scratching.
I feel so bad. Of course, it doesn't bother her. In fact, she loves not having a topknot. I was the one that loved it!
I have used Isle of Dogs shampoo & conditioner for the past year or so. Her hair is super shiny. She no longer looks like her Avatar pic.
She will be 3 years old on June 26th and this is now just happening?! Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening?
