I have a small (separate) Frig for the Doggy Food/Treats. I keep the BSticks in it until handed out (2 at a time). My guys usually can chew on them for a couple days, but, I pick them up when they get short. I "suspect" that they swallow them when they get short enough. I don't like that idea of having them deal with that issue, until they are digested, which they would be eventually.

Yea, they can get sorta gooey on the ends, but I have never noticed any growths or visual problems which I thought were serious enough to pick them up before the "length" limit was met. My biggest problem is keeping an eye on them, and not letting them get too short.
