It might be also quite scarey for your Littlie, with loads of new people wanting to pet and cuddle him. It might be worth introducing new friends one at a time - and get them to get down to HIS level - preferably with a tiny treat in an outstretched hand (so that they can have a little tickly rub under his chin).

When you carried your little one out and about did you use a soft carrier or anything?
