So sad, this happened to a young 12 year old girl near to where I live and she did not live. The family had the dog from a pup and their daughter was just a little one at that time. No problems but on this one day, it's background somewhere who knows how far back in it's pedigree, showed it's ugly face.
If you want protection buy a security system and if you want a dog with children look to a breed that has been known to be gentle and not one so one can look macho. These pictures you see of babies and bit bulls together make me sick and just wonder what kind of people would take chances like that.
Many states have laws against ownership of this breed and others. Insurance companies have the stats on this because they are the ones who have had to pay for these many injuries. It's these companies who have helped to put laws in place. |
