You will find that the more you handle her, ie:Brush, bathe, comb, clip, etc. the easier it gets.
Zachary gets a bath every Sunday afternoon...comb out matts (well, we do that twice a day anyhow), shampoo, condition, spray in dematter, blow dry, clean out ears with q-tip, shave ears if necessary, clip hair around eyes (there is a scissors you can get that had a rounded tip) final comb. He gets better behaved each time we do this...he was TERRIFIED of everything at the beginning.
BTW, don't use a human hairdryer for a dog. I got a dog one off Amazon.com (don't remember the brand, just that is just bright yellow). The only thing I DON'T do is TRIM TOENAILS!!

I have been trying to do that for more years than some of you people are old and have given up on being comfortable with that job . My vet does 5 opf my dogs and the groomer will take over with Zachary when he is groomed. (Expensive but worth it).
