Cesar has a lump on his back that is noticeable when you pet him. It isn't discolored or anything and he doesn't yelp when I touch it or anything so I assume he doesn't even know it's there.

When I took him into the vet a few weeks ago for his shots I asked about it and he felt it and said it's probably nothing, just a cyst and that many dogs get them. He said keep an eye on it and if it gets any bigger then I should bring him back in.

It scares the crap out of me too. My shepherd chow had a grown on his back that turned out to be cancer. We had it removed when he was just a few years old and he lived to a ripe old 14 years before I had to have him put down because he could not walk or eat on his own.

I am hopeful that there is nothing wrong with Cesar but worst case if it is cancer I will get it removed and hope that he can live a long healthy life like Shemp was able to do (RIP).

Glad your dog is doing well.
