Well do DNA tests, we have them, they have the Pits and can match just "what" bite might have killed that baby.

This is so very very sad. And I just want to say, an 8mth infant can't defend itself against any dog; even a Yorkie! And having said that, I would let no dog of any age or breed around my baby unsupervised. What were these parents thinking.
