Default Grooming Nightmare

We took our Yorkie to the groomer for the first time. Our other 3 Yorkies have gone there since they were puppies w/o any problem. Because it was his first time he was only there for a hour and he didn't get any extras like teeth brushing. He did have some matting so he had to be shaved in some areas. Anyway that was yesterday. Here is what has been happening: He has been acting like a totally different dog. Normally he is very hyper, he loves to play, and normally doesn't really like to be held that much. Since he has gotten home he wants us to hold him nonstop. Even when we play ball with him he will barely leave our lap to get the ball. If the ball is too far away he won't get it at all. It is almost like he thinks we are leaving. He also seems to be afraid of his tail. He never was before. If there is a loud noise he starts shaking. It is very sad. He is acting like a totally different dog. Sorry this is so long. Does anybody have any suggestions? Has anybody else experienced something like this?
