My 2 yr. old Lucky was shaved nearly down to her skin the week before we adopted her because her previous owners neglected to groom her beautiful coat. The Humane Society understandably was more concerned with freeing her of the matts than making her look nice, so her haircut is extremely uneven. When we take her for walks or to the pet store, people always ask what kind of dog she is. When I reply that she is a yorkie, they either look at me suspiciously like I am lying to them or they look at me with pity like they think I have been lied to. It doesn't help that she is a tall 9 pounder! It doesn't really bother me, but just out of curiousity, does anyone know how long it will take before Lucky's hair grows long enough to get a puppy cut?
