I believe ALL animals should be spayed or neutered...unless you are planning on breeding(which "I" feel should be left to the pros). I had both my girls spayed...one was 3yrs and the other 4 yrs..I kept putting it off because I was a nervous wreck!! The only change I found in them was they each gained 1 lb each...I have a new little guy...he is going to be 1 next month...he is scheduled to be neutered in 1 week...again...very nervous but, I have a great vet...we got him when he was 5 months old...he was only 2.5 lbs....the vet wanted him to put on a little more weight before neutering him...then he got a really bad UTI...so I had to put it off again...he is starting to "love" things...including hubbys arm..and....he hasn't started lifting his leg yet....You can have them spayed/neutered at any age...the earlier the better....
