I have the small sized pink Maden pin brush. PetEdge doesn't sell the Maden Brush but it is kind of like the one pictued here:

I always comb her first and then go through her coat with the brush. Some days I don't even use the brush as long as she is looking pretty good. Her fur is silky though so it's not as thick as a cotton coat.
