My sweet little Willow, I took her in this morning for a Dental. We adopted her in November 2010 and at that time she had 17 teeth removed on top of what ever had already fallen out. So she only had 6 teeth left. Upon her 6 month check up 3 weeks ago it was noticed that 3 of the teeth were loose, so I scheduled her dental.

Will I dropped her off at 8 AM this morning. Vet called at 10:00 and said no teeth were pulled. She had Dental X-rays taken and it's not her teeth that are the problem, it's her lower right jaw bone that is starting to fall apart. They said if they pulled any teeth it break her jaw. They cleaned her 6 teeth. We are going to keep a watch on it and if starts to bother her, we will schedule an appointment with a Canine Dental Specialist.

Willow was a breeder dog, that was turned over to rescue when the breeder was done with her. This just breaks my heart for Willow. She is only 7 yrs old. DAMN I so hate breeders that breed these babies to much and don't take care of them.

I pray that we don't have to break her jaw bone and have it wired shut to heal. I am just in tears.
