My terrier/x Gizmo, was hospitalized from Friday AM till Saturday PM and for 4-5 days, was a different dog, afraid, hiding, etc. She had never been put in a cage before since we got her from the animal shelter. She is OK now.
When we got Zachary, our Biewer Yorkie, he was OK. Then he started peeing every 10 minutes, anywhere. I tried to get a urine sample but wasn't able to. So my vet took my word for it that there was a problem (not all will do that but we have been going to this vet for 23 years), put him on an antibiotic, and now he is OK.
I agree with everyone else that something is wrong with him. I get frequent UTI and am absolutely MISERABLE. Either he doesn't feel good or he is stressed out from the experience.
