Hoping for many days of seaside fun with Howard.... |
I think what is being conveyed is that Yorkies cant take prolong periods in the broiling sunshine on hot humid days! You cant go jogging and drag them around behind you for a brisk run in 90*+ heat with high humidity factored into the formula. They enjoy being outside with you, just provide lots of shade and cool water and rest, be acutely aware of how the pup is tolerating the temp, wet him down if necessary to keep him cool, remember he is not interested in competing in the Iron Man Triathlon with you, so dont over exert him in your quest for "ironess"! Remember his little feet can blister on hot sand or asphalt or concrete...and KNOW THE SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF HEAT EXHAUSTION AND HEAT STROKE, AND BE PREPARED TO DEAL WITH IT EMERGENTLY!!!.
