ZoE's vet chose to do regular stitches after her spay last year, as he knows she is quite active & playful. She had to go back 10 days later to physically have them cut & removed.

My previous yorkie, Chelsea, had dissolving stitches after her spay.

I've never had a dog glued after surgery, so can't speak to how it is, but I personally had steri strips after two c-sections and was amazed that they just used what basically looked like mini-bandaids to hold me together.
