With so many hours without food, her family and alone in a crate...I just can't do it. Sophie's breeder strongly agrees that I need to take her home at the end of the day before the office closes (so she has been monitored for several hours after her surgery at the clinic). I know others who have left their puppies overnight but they were not as small in size as Sophie.

Am I making the wrong decision? I would appreciate any advice or feedback as I am so stressed out about her upcoming surgery.
That just seems so wreckless to me...to leave a pup unsupervised after surgery. I personally wouldn't give my business to any vet that thought that was an appropriate standard of care.

Mine have always been spayed in the morning, and they've come home in the afternoon.

Definately bring your baby home!
