Sophie will be 6 months old when she gets spayed and has her hernia surgery at the end of the month. At our vet office they normally keep spay surgery patients overnight (with no supervision after close until the next morning). I do have the option to take her home though. With so many hours without food, her family and alone in a crate...I just can't do it. Sophie's breeder strongly agrees that I need to take her home at the end of the day before the office closes (so she has been monitored for several hours after her surgery at the clinic). I know others who have left their puppies overnight but they were not as small in size as Sophie.

Am I making the wrong decision? I would appreciate any advice or feedback as I am so stressed out about her upcoming surgery.
