Our 2year old yorkie male was cut on the fold of skin just in front of his right hind quarter. The vet put staples in it and took them out yesterday. there is still a bit of skin that is granulated, but not completely healed. "Buddy" our dog, started licking the area. we put his "cone of shame" back on him, but the little bugger is so smart he has figured out how to get around the cone and lick the area. Is there something we can put on the area that won't hurt him to keep him from licking the area?
We have some Sargents hot spot treatment, but my wife thinks that would cause the area to hurt the dog. I'd sure like some suggestions.
