Aww, I love happy endings. I too have an older girl who was a stray. Bringing her home has been such a joy! With a lot of missing teeth, she may need you to soften her kibble with some water if it hurts her to eat or you see her having trouble chewing it. I think she looks like a Silky, but I am no expert. Please have your vet check her over as others have recommended. I'd get her started on a good grain free kibble, and see if that helps with the red yeast staining I see. The weepy eyes and runny nose are most likely from the rotten teeth that she had. That should clear up as her little mouth heals. If her eyes continue to weep, try Gerber water (Walmart, water section, $1. a gallon). Sorry, I know you didn't ask for any of this advice, but I just get so excited to know what a wonderful life your new baby is about to have with you and your dear, compassionate hubby. The world needs more good people like you. Bless you for giving this sweet girl a home where she will be loved and cared for. We are waiting anxiously to learn her name, and look forward to more pictures. Welcome to Yorkie Talk!
