Do you have a yard? If your yard is free of other dogs then it shoud be safe to take your dog out to play. If your yard is not fenced you can get a light weight 25' tether to put him on to make sure he doesn't run away. Don't leave him out alone but you can run around with him and play fetch, etc. Gracie and I play indoor fetch quite a bit, especially when the weather is bad. If you have friends and family you can take him out to visit. Stay away if they have large dogs and or dogs that they do not take proper care of.
He is already 8 months old? Was he around other dogs and people during his first months? If not then he has already been deprived of proper socialization. A few more weeks is not going to make a difference. |
