I talked with Patti a bit ago and she is at the ER with Ken. He is paralyzed on, if I remember right, his right side. I immediately thought of stroke, which Patti did too, but his vitals were okay so they say it may be a brain tumor. Patti is so scared and thank goodness, her sister Liz helped her get him to the hospital and is there with her. They are going to do an MRI of the brain and I asked her if they would get this done tonight. She said a radiologist is there till 8:00. Here at our hospital, if a radiologist is not in the hospital, he has it at home on his computer and can do a report immediately. I would think they would have that there. My heart hurts for Patti and Ken and the whole family. Cancer is such a horrid disease and I truly think it is as hard on the loved ones as it is the patient. Patti is very worried that she can no longer keep him at home. She is going to see if they have hospice rooms at the hospital. Poor Patti...she's got so much heartache in her life.
