YHR received an email last week about a female yorkie in a GA shelter. It is a very long story.....will attempt to shorten it a bit here. We had a foster home in NC that was willing to take this little girl. I reached out to Bluebelle since she lives close to that shelter and her daughter immediately stepped up to help us by pulling her and getting her to Atlanta to meet a friend of ours who was going to take her to Charlotte. Right when she was ready to go get her, the shelter called me and said they had released her to another rescue! I was dumbfounded since I had spoken with them many times and they knew we were making arrangements. But....things happen and all we could do is pray that she would be ok.
Just yesterday someone from the shelter contacted me to tell me that this pup had luxating patellas and hip dysplasia and the group that had her was advised to euthanize her. I was floored. They said that the vet said she was too old for surgery...estimated age is 8 - 10. She asked if we could still take her and I said that we could. Sooooo....once again, I reached out to Bluebelle's daughter and bless her heart she was there today to pick up this darling yorkie.
OK...this is getting kind of long. haha ... Honestly, there is so much more that I am saving you from. hahah
Ariel as they called her is now safely on her way to Charlotte. I am not sure if we will keep that name, but will keep you all posted on her.
THANK YOU Bluebelle/Marcie and your sweet daughter!!!!
