Does she snore at all? Does her nose get stuffy at any time?
It could be seasonal allergies...altho, most (stress most) dogs will also scratch, chew/lick their paws etc w/ allergies.
Can you describe what you mean by her getting scared? Is she scared bc the throat thing is causing breathing issues...or...?
