At ZoE's first yearly check-up we spent over an hour & a half with the Vet. I've never had such a thorough check up experience with any dog & the vet was typing and detailing her chart like crazy & even got a new photo taken! He said it gives him a good base to go off if she encounters any problems in the future.
She had a head to toe full physical check up, body, feet, joints, mouth/teeth, ears, eyes, skin. She had heartworm test, blood tests, stool test, microchip check. Lengthy discussion of any concerns/questions I had....go armed with a list of any questions you have so you don't forget when you're there...I typed mine into my phone as I thought of them before the appointment & we went over each thing. We broke up shots too, so it was just the DHPP booster and then we went back 4 weeks later for her rabies shot. Each shot was a 3 year shot, so she'll just have checkup & tests next year.
