 Kidney Stones :( Help please

It has been a long time since Ive posted, so Im sorry for that but I am in need of advice. Charlie had to have surgery today to remove stones from his bladder. He woke up yesterday appearing to urinate several times everytime he went out this was not usual for him. after watching him a couple times I had him go out on the driveway so I could monitor better and he was not having any output other than a couple dribbles. He didnt appear to be in pain so i planned to take him to his vet this morning as the evening went on it seemed to be worse in that he was straining to try and urinate and was visibly in pain at 230 am I took him to the ER vet where he was xrayed and found to show 2 stones in his bladder.
They gave him a cath and pain med and kept him over night and I transferred him to his vet this morning where he had surgery to remove the stones, they found a 3rd stone during surgery. the stone have been sent off to be evaluated as to what kind. I am told he will have stitches for a couple weeks but I am wondering what will I need to do special for him here at home. will he not be able to jump up on the furniture do I need to make special accommodations for him?
