I always reach down and feel the sidewalk, because you never know. we have a lot of black top driveways around here and they are the worse. I take Lola as long as the pavement is not to hot, but we also have shade and when it is hot within less than 10 min. we come to a place that she loves to take a swim at, then she is so cold when she gets out that she is running and scampering all over the place, and then it is me panting with my tongue is hanging out from keeping up with her
