Thanks for the great advice everyone! I am going to change our walks to early morning and evening until the fall.
I feel sooooo bad about something and need to confess....I never thought about how she is walking around bare pawed on the pavement that can get so hot.
As I have always seen bigger dogs out walking on hot summer days I never realized it may be too hot on her little sensitive paws. I am so glad I asked this question! (Sophie really thanks you all too). Now that I know better I will do better.
