I personally do not believe in retaliation of any sort really. I don't want to punch someone in the face for making a stupid comment. I'd rather understand what motivates a person to be so negative. It helps me better understand the 'human' (not canine) condition. I'd rather look that lady in the eye and say: "It's a true shame that you're having such a bad day that you have to pick on the most defenseless and innocent life. I hope that tomorrow is better for you and you begin to see the beauty in all things living." But hey, that's just me.

I would not have been agressive to the "lady" either.. I may have thought of a lot of stuff but that doesn't mean I would act on it. I may have said.. "wow.. that is my baby you are talking about"..Or just "wow"
