Just some thoughts.
On 5/27 he was 95% better. Right after that you weaned the pred. Are you sure he didn't go downhill right after that? Is he still on tramadol? It doesn't soud like there is a good reason for inappetance right now. My concern would be that this started weeks ago...with a pain near his front legs/neck...and he seems to want to lay aroud, he is restless, not wanting to eat, etc.. Could be stomach, but looking at where this started, I have to wonder if he is ouchy.
ellie gets sorta like that when she flares, except she will always eat. And the first vet that saw her had palpated her back and got no pain response. My vetthen did it and found the problem right away. Some are very gentle...
If you are headed back tomorrow, I'd make sure they palpate again.
Thinking about Tibbe often. This has got to be so hard to watch.
